Ask any convicted drug dealer what happens when the DEA gets on your trail, and they’re likely to say the Drug Enforcement Administration is patient, careful, calculating, often way undercover, thorough, have unlimited resources, clout, and are usually right when they come to get you. In Michael Jackson’s case, the DEA is getting involved to look at the doctor’s involved in Jackson’s life to determine any wrong doing. This information is coming from Fox2News out of Detroit via the Associated Press.

What this means for Jackson is that his family will have an agency, skilled at digging up information, either through informants, and/or use of good old-fashioned investigative techniques, to find out if drugs were at the crux of his demise, and/or who was supplying him. For the DEA to get involved at this stage, looks like they have some as yet undisclosed information regarding the nature of the King of Pop’s death. Rest assured, however, that when government rolls in, heads start spinning, and people react in one of 2 ways, they either run like hell, or start singing like amped-up canaries.

Jackson’s death appears more, and more like it was drug-related, with the DEA now, and  2 former acquaintances coming forward indicating that Michael Jackson did indeed have a prescription drug problem. However, this tragedy that permeates the media lately has presented a good opportunity to pound home the fact that 2500 teens wake up every morning in the U.S. and get high for the first time on prescription drugs who could very well, statistically, join Michael Jackson, if it turns out that he died from a drug reaction, overdose, or took his own life.  Pointedly, some of these teen neophytes of the drug world will go on to become the next methamphetamine mixers, drug dealers, runners, growers, and/or enforcers, while the rest fill positions as addicts. Unfortunately, these teens will be taking the place of those individuals lost in the crap-shoot game of addiction.
