Yesterday, Champions Online posted a dev blog looking at the state of the game for the next month. It might have passed beneath the radar, except for one thing: Champions Online is going to offer twitter in game.

The blog talked about the following:

  • Combat goes from big to small and back again, not the other way around. That's right, heroes lead with their big punches like real world fighters do. "Different powers have different energy costs associated with them, and some are designed to increase the amount of energy have in reserve so you can employ impressive alpha strikes. By focusing on certain characteristics and types of items, players can design characters that rely less and less on the concept of using smaller attacks to lead to bigger attacks."
  • French and German translations are being worked on.
  • Areas will offer thematic crafting nodes that give different buffs.
  • Players will be able to tweet in-game.
  • Nemesis is going back to beta testing soon.
  • More patrol-style missions are being added.
