Local monks set to be ordained to priesthood, diaconate

Archdeacon Stephen, Archimandrite Theodor, and
Subdeacon Peter of the Holy Cross Monastery in
Castro Valley, CA
Two OCA monks who live and work at the Holy Cross Monastery in Castro Valley will be ordained this Sunday, July 5, during the morning Liturgy. Metropolitan Jonah will preside.
Archdeacon Stephen will be elevated to the fullness of the Holy Priesthood, and Subdeacon Peter will be elevated to the Deaconate.
This event follows the Liturgy at Fort Ross on July 4, which will also be presided by Metropolitan Jonah. Vladyka Benjamin will be present for the July 5 ordinations as well.
Parking is extremely limited for this event. Those wishing to attend are encouraged to carpool, or have someone drop them off and pick them up afterwards.
