Bay Area Beach View by Veronica Cassell

Turning one year old is an occasion to remember and the Bay Area Young Sierrans are celebrating with style this Saturday, June 20th at Ocean Beach.  Hoping to gather a group of eighteen to thirty nine year olds to enjoy the occasion with them for a potluck, the Bay Area Young Sierrans are also planning on cleaning up the beach with those who would like to participate.

On Saturday, the clean-up of Ocean beach is expected from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at which time, a bonfire will commence (across from Beach Chalet), kicking off the 1 year birthday celebration.  The beach should be a wonderful spot this weekend as the summer solstice has many Bay Area events scheduled, so this might be a great spot to check-out.

For more information: Eric Chu at (510) 452-7969 is available for contact for those interested in more details.

If interested, other events around the Bay Area are listed here, including:

June 18th - Save the Waves Fundraiser
June 20thPacifica Beach Clean-up (Linda Mar) from 9am – 11am
International Surfing Day Beach Clean-up at Baker Beach from 10am – 12pm
