It’s easy, just eat superfoods! This may be the first time you’ve heard that term, and you may wonder exactly what does itSuperhero, superman, superhuman, strenght mean? Well, a superfood is a particular food that is nutritious above and beyond the level of normal common foods sold in the neighborhood grocery store. Superfoods are in a category all their own! They are densely packed with an array of vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, antioxidants, enzymes, and other health promoting, disease preventing nutrients.

These foods were staples in the diets of ancient civilizations and helped them survive in the harshest of situations. They were consumed throughout history, and in all different parts of the world. These foods’ special gifts were close to being forgotten in our culture but now with modern scientific technology we can understand why they are so powerful and healthy for us. As the father of medicine, Hypocrites said, “Let thy food be thy medicine.”

Here is my list of the top 20 superfoods in no particular order. Future articles will take an in-depth look at each superfood, so stay tuned. I already did an article on cacao/raw chocolate, so check it out if you’ve missed it.
