This week's vendor spotlight focuses on a duo of fabulous Baltimore-based photographers, Borrowed Blue Photography. Borrowed Blue Photography, named for the famous "something old, something new..." saying, officially started shooting weddings in 2000 with Natalie Nadozirny and Jamie Suthard working as a team at each event. Since then, they've shot well over 300 weddings and counting.

What is the photographer's style -- traditional, photo journalistic, etc.? Color/B&W/Sepia?
Candid, casual, unobtrusive, creative, fun -
we offer a mixture of color, black & white, and sepia, though we're probably best known for our vivid color images.

Who are the people taking the photos?
Natalie Nadozirny and Jamie Suthard are both professional photographers who shoot every wedding as a team. Natalie is the lead photographer at the ceremony and during the formals, while Jamie pretty much takes over during the reception. We both shoot the prep part either together with the bride or separately one with each of the bride/groom.

How many weddings do you shoot in a day?
One 7 hour day. Two per weekend.

How long does it take to get proofs to your client?
3 weeks online, 5 weeks in hand

What products do you offer -- albums, engagement portraits, CDs, etc?
Coffee table books, traditional matted albums, engagement sessions, high-res DVD, slide shows, boudoir sessions, engagement session guestbooks, canvas prints, online proofing, and lots of other products!

How far will you travel?
Worldwide

Where are some locations you've worked?
Our favorites include:

Grey Rock Mansion, Ceresville Mansion, Antrim 1844, Cloisters, Gramercy Mansion, United States Naval Academy Chapel, Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, Evergreen House, Pier V Hotel, Renaissance Harborplace, Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, Celebrations at the Bay, American Visionary Art Museum, Kent Manor Inn, Engineer's Club, and many many more. Why do you do what you do?
I think weddings are crazy and exciting. I love capturing little, fleeting moments, emotional moments, moments of pure joy, and breath-taking portrayals of love. I also get to be creative by matching my photographs to each of my clients' personalities.

Who inspires you?
Edward Weston and Diane Arbus

Favorite wedding experience/story.
We were hired by a couple from Virginia to shoot their destination wedding in Ireland. After spending a few days with the family taking shots at the Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher, we went on our way to the castle for the ceremony. The trip took us through the Burren down a road with lots of curves but absolutely stunning scenery. We were able to stop for some photos on the Bay of Galway. The whole experience was wonderful, and our clients treated us like part of their little group of 19.

Give one tip/suggestion for brides looking for your services.
Brides and grooms are going to spend most of the wedding day with their photographer, so they'll want a photographer with a laid-back, friendly, unobtrusive relaxed personality.... not a photographer who feels the need to control every second or place themselves in the middle of the action.
