Nothing like firing up the old Dallas Cowboys-New York Giants rivalry in early July.
Brandon Jacobs, running back for the New York Giants, called out Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo on Thursday during a segment that aired on ESPN 1050 out of New York. According to the Dallas Morning News, Jacobs said “I don't think he's that good a passer, to be honest with you” while discussing the Dallas quarterback. KLTV out of Jacksonville quotes Jacobs as saying “I'm not a fan of Tony Romo, no. Keep him in the pocket, he's not that good. . . . His luck will be gone sooner or later. If you were to keep Tony Romo in the pocket he's not that effective.”
Coincidentally for yours truly, the Giants travel to Dallas to face off against the Cowboys on September 20, my birthday. You can bet that Jacobs' words will be replayed countless times during the week before that match up. Until then, New York fans will be reminded that Tony Romo is 4-0 against the Giants during regular season contests. Of course, Giants fans can then remind Dallas fans of this moment.
Oh, and this one.
