Great new calorie-free flavored waters are flooding (nyuk, nyuk) the market, just in time for summer thirst quenching. Let's dip a toe in the water, shall we?
Veryfine Fruit20 Essentials: Not only are these fruity non-carbonated waters zero calories but they have a gram of fiber in each serving plus the same nutrients found in the actual fruits. Depending on the flavor, the water will contain vitamins E, B6, B5, zinc, potassium, manganese and phosporus. It comes in Cranberry Raspberry, Strawberry Kiwi (my kid's favorite), Peach Mango, Citrus, Blueberry Pomegranate (my favorite) and Cherry Acai. These are sweetened with sucralose so these are sweeter than some fruit waters. More info at fruit2o.com.
Knudsen Sparkling Essence: If you like your water fizzy this one's for you. The slim, 10.5-ounce cans come in flavors such as cucumber, blueberry, lemon and mint. Surprisingly, my favorite is the cucumber -- it's really refreshing and tastes a lot like Sassy Water, a staple of the Flat Belly Diet. These waters are not sweetened with anything -- it's just a hint of flavor. They'd also make great mixers to use with more calorie-laden juices like cranberry or pomegranate. The blueberry water mixed with 4 ounces of pomegranate juice is super yummy. More info at www.knudsenjuices.com/products/sparkling essence.

Hint essence water: We've discussed these waters before HERE but they need to be included in this roundup because they're so darn yummy. The water isn't sweetened with anything but Hint has a distinct sweetness that is really refreshing. There are no calories, colors, caffeine, vitamins, minerals or anything artificial in the 16-ounce bottles. It comes in flavors such as Hibiscus Vanilla (delightful!), Blackberry, Mango Grapefruit, Lime, Peppermint, Pear, and Cucumber. The bottles are also gorgeous. More info at drinkhint.com.
