The Filipino Heritage Night, a pre-game event at the San Francisco Giants AT&T Park was a success!  Tickets were sold out and fans of Pacquiao were very excited to see him make the ceremonial first pitch prior to the Giants' baseball game against the Padres.  Fans also received a limited edition Manny Pacquiao bobblehead. The Pound-for-Pound kingpin doll is wearing a Giants jersey, Philippine flag boxing shorts and a title belt.

Filipino Americans who came to the event proved that they are proud to be a Filipino. They celebrated their heritage and culture with lots of entertainment. It was also the first time the Manny Paquiao "Pound-for-Pound" song was aired during the pre-game event.  The song was composed by Reinel “Rei Tracks” Adajar (a Filipino-American from the Bay Area) and lyrics were written and performed by Whiz Almighty whose real name is Khattab McIntosh.  They call themselves The Trackrunners, a hip hop/rap duo.

It didn't take long for the duo to write and record the song.  The video was completed on April 14 and minutes after, the song was launched online.  The band worked hard in completing the song quickly just in time for the May 2nd bout of Manny Pacquiao vs. Ricky Hatton at the MGM Grand Las Vegas.  In Rei Tracks' own words "Sometimes the best creative work comes out when you don’t allow yourself to think too much about what you’re working on, and I think that’s what happened here."

When asked what inspired them to produce the Manny Pacquiao song, the response was "Pacquiao is a legend, the biggest thing I’ve seen to come from the Philippines in my lifetime. There’s a lot of hype surrounding him from the Filipino-American community, from the homeland of the Philippines, and from everywhere else. I’ve always learned to get behind someone or something that you believe in, and we believe that this guy is a true champ."
