If you are vacationing, traveling, or visiting on the Leelanau Peninsula, be sure to stop by Chateau Fontaine located at 2290 South French Road in Lake Leelanau. This fine Michigan winery is run by Dan and Lucie Matthias.

Their wine list includes:

Chardonnay
Pinto Gris
Woodland White
Gewurztraminer White Riesling
Pinto Nor
Woodland Red
Cherry Wine

You can buy these great Michigan grown and crafted wines at their tasting room. The tasting room is open from noon until 5 pm on Wednesday through Sunday from June through October, and on Saturday and Sunday from November through December. Click here for a map.

Look for the label in wine shops in the Leelanau area and at fine merchants around Michigan. You can phone them at 231-256-0000. You can email them through their website. 

Also, look for Chateau Fontaine at the Traverse City Wine & Art Festival, August 22, 2009, from 5 pm until 10 pm on the grounds of Building 50 at The Village in Grand Traverse Commons.
