THE KOWALSKI STORYEmigrating from Poland to America was the way to a dream life. Agnes and Zygmund Kowalski both believed this and began their careers as owners of a small grocery store on Chene Street in Detroit, Michigan. Wanting to bring their favorite foods from the old country to the USA they added a smokehouse to the store and production of Polish Kielbasa and other sausages began. Demand grew and a factory was built on Holbrook Ave. in Hamtramck, Michigan. The leadership of the Kowalski Sausage Company passed from generation to generation with Steve Kowalski, son of the founder, leading the company beginning in the 1950s and his son Ronald taking over in the 1970s, establishing Kowalski as one of Michigan's finest meat processing enterprises. Today, Michael Kowalski and Linda Kowalski Jacob together continue to manage and uphold the traditions of Kowalski Kowality.
Kowality CateringThe Food Service Department of the Kowalski Companies wears many hats. Most people know that we serve Kowalski products at local sporting events, festivals, fairs, and concerts, but I bet you didn't know we can do PARTIES! Company picnics, family reunions, anniversary or graduation parties (in the Metro-Detroit area only). We can do it all. The size of the party can range from as few as 100 people to 500 people or more. Or if you have something different in mind, why not rent one of our Hot Dog Carts. They come in two sizes. The Mini-Cart for those smaller gathering (1 to 75 people) or a Regular-Cart for larger gatherings (75 to 500 people) either one will make your party a hit. We would supply you with the hot dogs, or sausages and as an added benefit you could purchase everything you need for the party directly from us. Such as: buns, condiments, salads, (Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, etc.), beverages, chips, candy, ice cream, anything you would need to make your party a Kowality affair. For more information please call us at (313) 873-8200 ext. 409 or 410.
