The Monterey Peninsula loves the month of May.  The weather is warm.  The sun is shining.  And it is the perfect buffer between the winter rains and summer fog.  For all of these reasons, I chose last month to learn about the region, venturing extensively around Carmel, Monterey, and Pebble Beach.  In this first series describing my travel, I will share with you my Monterey.  I’ll tell you about a great little French bistro that’s become my new go-to place.  I’ll tell you what’s new on Cannery Row.  I’ll tell you about an off-the beaten-path chocolate confectioner that makes unbelievable cinnamon truffles and allows a glimpse of its chocolate-making at its factory store.   And I’ll tell you about three resorts and inns that delivered such bliss I did not want to leave.

Please keep your eyes out for the following articles over the course of the next week:

And it all starts today, with the Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa
