Good skin care products that don't dry out delicate little skin is so important... and it can be fun stuff too. Who doesn't like opening up a new bottle of baby lotion and breathing in deep. Yum. The below products have all been tested by me, as are all other products in all my gift guides... all bring something special to the table and would make great baby shower gifts or gifts to bring to new moms at the hospital. (Read part 1 and part 3 of this story for more cool bath and skin products for babies.)

Grandma Minnie's Oil's Well Nurturing Do It Oil
- Wow! This stuff really is for everything and it smells great to boot. It's for moisturizing super dry skin, detangling hair, massages wound cleaning, cradle cap, preventing diaper rash and more. And its 100 percent fragrance free, hypoallergenic and free of all known allergens. The formula was invented by Grandma Minnie in her kitchen in the late 1800s.
Grandma Minne also makes a hand sanitizer safe to use on babies and baby toys and stuff. Its called Kid Gloves and its good for moms too.  Plus use it as a boo boo disinfectant for helping cuts heal faster. And it's on sale for 50% off from May 5- June 5 too!
Also check out Grandma Minnie's Coo and Clean baby wash and shampoo made with green tea and washes away without leaving any residue and Boo-Boo Balm made with coconut derived monolaurin - a natural disinfectant,
and for both babes and mommies, the MommyCoddling All-Over Lotion, which is creamy but light.
You can get them all in nice travel sizes in their Baby On Board set. Perfect to bring to the hospital! Great stuff!

Lanikai Hawaiian Baby Natural Baby Care
line smells light and airy like a tropical breeze. No coconut smell here (though I love coconut and wouldn't have minded). These smell more like soft florals. The line includes an organic healing balm, which I really like. Great for everything from chapped skin to baby's tender butt. The line also includes powder and lotion. All are made in Hawaii from Hawaiian products.

Badger Balms Mom and Baby Kit
has something for new moms and their tiny tot. For baby, the kit has a chamomile balm for diap rash, cradle cap and just soothing. For mama and baby both it also has organic sleep balm. The sleep balm can go anywhere on the face and lips and smells like lavender and bergamot.  All smell delicious and are calming and soft.

Another great product that brings relaxation together with skin care for babies (and the rest of us) are massage oils. You can really use any baby lotion to give a massage. But I like to use the baby massage products by Mashala Baby Organics. They have a fresh, light scent, are all organic and natural, have no nut oils and are all around nice. They even make a special massage oil to use when baby is sick. Mashala's infant massage set is a great gift set  and would make a unique present. Read about the many benefits of infant massage HERE.
