Did you miss JaVale McGee's alley-oop slam over Blake Griffin? Starting today NBATV subscribers will have the opportunity to catch select Wizards Summer League games in taped replays from Las Vegas.
The NBA's Summer League was and still is available through a broadband Internet connection (768 kbps or better) for $14.99 (or a reduced rate of $9.99), and for a while, pay-to-play seemed to be the only option for Wizards fans. While you will still need to pay to see archives of all five Washington Summer League games (available online until July 26th), at least two of the five will air on NBATV starting this week.
I call it the "JaVale McGee Package": games against the Los Angeles Clippers and the New York Knicks featuring two outstanding performances by the second-year center. You could also call the two games the "Sam Cassell Experience," as both feature Wizards assistant coach Sam Cassell in the role of head coach (he's 2-0, by the way).
Both games will air today starting at 5:00 p.m. ET, and will rotate with other select games from the 55-game Summer League late into July and possibly into August. I'll update this list as more dates surface, but make sure to check your local listings for changes:
