New Transformers film coming in June, 2009

Transformers is a 2007 live-action film adaptation of the Transformers franchise, directed by Michael Bay and written by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. It stars Shia LaBeouf as Sam Witwicky, a teenager involved in a war between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons, two factions of alien robots who can disguise themselves by transforming into everyday machinery. The Decepticons desire control of the All Spark, the object that created their robotic race, with the intention of using it to build an army by giving life to the machines of Earth. Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Jon Voight and John Turturro also star, while Peter Cullen and Hugo Weaving provide the voices of Optimus Prime and Megatron respectively.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be in theaters June 24, 2009.

Trailer for 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is below - starring Shia LaBeouf, Rainn Wilson, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson.

Among some of the actors appearing in both, if not all sequels, are Fox, Duhamel, Labeouf and Gibson.

Fox and Labeouf are featured here.

With the success of the live-action film Transformers, the robots in disguise proved that there was too much action for just one film. This sequel promises more in the epic battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons.

YouTube says the film will be released June 26th vs the site's June 24th, go with the early one, just in case, and besides, the official site should be more accurate.

Fox's big break arrived when she acquired the lead female role ofMikaela Banes in the 2007 live-action film Transformers, based on the toy and cartoon saga of the same name. She played the love interest of Shia LaBeouf's character Sam Witwicky. In June 2007, Fox was cast in How to Lose Friends & Alienate People, starring alongside Jeff Bridges, Simon Pegg and Kirsten Dunst. The character Fox portrayed is that of a young Hollywood starlet getting her first taste of fame. The film premiered in October 2008, and she has signed on for two more Transformers sequels.

Sam! No matter what happens, I’m really glad I got in the car with you."  - Mikaela Banes

Impressed by Shia Labeouf performance in Transformers, in April 2007 Spielberg cast LaBeouf in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which began filming that June for a May 22, 2008 release date. LaBeouf has stated that he would subsequently like to appear in a smaller-scale role. His next film was Eagle Eye, a thriller directed by D. J. Caruso and released in September 2008. He has also signed on for two Transformers sequels.

I bought a car - turned out to be an alien robot. Who knew?"  - Sam Witwicky
