Beatles fans have more to look forward to than just getting their groove on to the music of the Fab Four in Rock Band. On September 9th, 2009, the same day The Beatles: Rock Band is released, fans will also get a nice bonus: The entire Beatles catalogue digitally re-mastered for the first time by Apple Corps LTD and EMI.
A team of EMI engineers at Abbey Road studios have spent the last four years bringing the music of the Beatles into the 21st century. The collection will include all 12 Beatles albums and both Past Masters volumes, which have been combined into one title.
Each album will also include a QuickTime movie documenting the making of the album. This will include archive footage, photographs and studio chat between the Fab Four. A second boxed set designed with the collector in mind will also be released.
Beatles fans have been wanting to pick up plastic instruments and jam out with the leaders of the British Invasion since Guitar Hero was originally released. The Beatles: Rock Band will give fans the ultimate treat, and the re-release of digitally remastered music will make 2009 the year of the Beatle.
