Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince Premiere to Take Place in NYC

After months of waiting, Harry Potter fans will finally be able to see the next installment of the series when Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince hits theaters nationwide on July 15th.
Filming for the movie began in September 2007 in the UK for a North American release date of November 21th, 2008. On August 14th, 2008 it was announced the film would not premiere until July 17th, 2009. It was speculated the change was made so the film release did not overlap with the release of Twilight late in 2008. The release date was then changed again to July 15th.
The movie's red carpet premiere will be held on July 9th at 6 pm at the Ziefeld Theater in New York City.
