The Bible is clear. Though godliness is what is most desired, bodily discipline is of some benefit. 1 Timothy 4:7-9
"...for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things.."
How we treat our bodies, bodily discipline is reflected in the sports we play and how well we play or don't play them.

Yeah, we Christians especially have no excuse to let our bodies deteriorate, do we?
