A recent "Super Lap Battle" at Firebird Raceway was shattering records and taking home victories by Crawford Performance and driver Tarzan Yamada. An amazing performance by winning the Firebird event and taking home round one of "Super Lap Battle Qualifiers" with a record breaking time to top things off.  The Crawford Peroformance team "Superlap TA car" with driver Tarzan Yamada broke the Firebird main course, fastest lap for car with doors as notified by the officials after the race. 

The amazing talent displayed by the team at previous races also suggests that future records may be broken as the season progresses. The engineered powerhouse Subaru Crawford Performance vehicle combined with elite driving skills by Tarzan Yamada are an unbeatable combination. Watch out.

The race was setup with five total laps; one warm up, three hot laps, one to cool down. Before the race, a rental vehicle was driven by Tarzan Yamada to entertain the crowds. The crowds warm response from the jesting antics followed by a record breaking performance timeless.

What is Super Lap Battle?

According to their website at http://www.superlapbattle.com, "Super Lap Battle is the ultimate test for a tuner, combining all areas of car setup. It is about getting the best setup of engine work, suspension/brakes, aerodynamics and wheels/tires to work in harmony to get the single fastest lap time possible. This event is a time trial based contest similar to most race organizations qualifying sessions. Cars go on track to compete for the fastest single lap time."
