If you are lactose intolerant, don't read this because it is super cheesy. I first stumbled upon this cheese factory at CarVersation.com while reviewing the site for my new column. Being the number one Italian car manufacturer isn't enough for Ferrari! Now they are going to share the Ferrari experience with ticket paying customers in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The UAE is home to some of the richest Ferrari owners in the world so the park is properly placed. There are more Ferrari's in UAE than most countries around the world, so they will have plenty of patrons. Unfortunate for us here in the United States, we will have to settle for Disney World, Six Flags, and Cedar Point. The new Ferrari theme park has just finished the construction of the exterior structure, as announced recently by the prime construction company. Let the cheese fest begin! Really, take a look at it and tell me it's not the cheesiest thing you've ever seen. Seriously, I'm embarassed for Ferrari.

The park will feature all the great things about Ferrari. Some of the rides seem a little cliche, but none the less it is a testimony to the great Ferrari tradition. A pseudo "Pirates of the Caribbean" mock up into a twelve cylinder engine is probably the cheesiest it is going to get. Still there are some decent rides for this park and will attract many customers from around the world. The world's fastest roller coaster is to be built in this park as well as many other Ferrari type rides. A slow show style ride, similar to Epcot's giant golf ball ride illustrates the Ferrari heritage, racing events, and manufacturing process. Every theme park must have food, and just as you guessed this one will be packed with Italian style cafes.

Overall, this Ferrari theme park to me seems pretty lame and I won't be rushing to get my passport to visit the UAE anytime soon. It is cool to see that they are building one, maybe one day we will have a Ferrari theme park here in the United States. I'm more impressed personally by the use of 35,000 tones of steel for the structure. I'm a Ferrari fan but this is a little overkill. Maybe other manufacturers will jump on this idea too. Lamborghini bull rides, Aston Martin feathered flyers, Subaru log flumes, or maybe even a Corvette catapult will be the next move for the auto industry. From what I've seen so far, Ferrari should stick to making cars and leave amusement parks up to Universal, Disney World, and Paramount. Being an American theme park junky, my review might be slightly biased. I just don't see enough roller coasters here to make this worthy of the title "amusement park". I think an appropriate title would be interactive museum. To sum this up with one word, "fail" comes to mind.
