The production car lap record was smashed into pieces by the Radical SR8, registering six minutes and fifty five seconds! An amazing performance by both driver and machine, the Radical SR8's record will be a tough one to beat. Any lap around the ring within the seven minute time frame is considered godly, but to take things up a notch into the six minute time frame is unheard of! Pushing the limits of the Radical SR8 during the entire lap, driver Michael Vergers looked death square in the face as his light SR8 breaks the Nurburgring lap record! Broken a second time at 6:48 in the more powerful SR8LM, it is a definite stance in Nurburgring dominance for Radical.

The Radical SR8 is an amazing machine. Powered by a 2600cc V8 engine, the SR8 features the largest engine ever installed by the British manufacturer. Producing 363 horsepower, the SR8 is an ideal track machine for Nurburgring , but the SR8LM is even better. Cranking out 455 horsepower, the SR8LM is the current track record holder for street legal production vehicles. Watch video content below of both vehicles and compare the laps! As you can see, the SR8LM is much faster, accelerates quicker, and has a better grasp on the track than the original record breaker SR8.
