A new performance appeal for the somewhat tame BMW M5 E60 has been released by Lumma. The CLS 730 RS has the capability to reach 228 mph thanks to twin superchargers. Pumping compressed sweetness through a V10 BMW engine brings out 730 horsepower, enough to push this sedan deep into the 200 mph zone. Draped in exotic styling for interior and exterior, this car is for someone who loves to be fast and look great doing it. Zipping down the Autobahn will be a treat for any owner of the CLS 730 RS. Too bad there is only one, and it was made for "HRH Saad Bin Abdullah Bin Abdulahziz Al Said". Only he will be lucky enough to enjoy the driving pleasure of a 228 mph BMW sedan.
Not much is known about the vehicle and there is very limited media access to it's wealth of goodies. However we do know that it has 700 Nm of torque, achieves 0-62 mph in 4.2 seconds, and can reach 300 km/h in less than thirty seconds. This is a fast car! The exotic exterior only leads to a more flashy interior made of red high quality leathers and as much carbon fiber as possible. Cutting weight but not reducing appeal and luxury, the Lumma 730 RS is an outstanding combination of performance and luxury.
The company who brought this monster to life claims it is the most powerful BMW engine ever to see a street legal chassis. However, if you are a reader of this column you know about the 1,000 horsepower turbo BMW M3. It may not be the most powerful out there, but it is very nice. Congratulations to HRH Saad Bin Abdullah Bin Abdulahziz Al Said on purchasing a very fine BMW performance machine. Maybe we will be lucky enough to see more footage of this awesome M5? Only time will tell.
