Pop Star Michael Jackson died of cardiac arrest on June 25, 2009, at the age of 50. According to reports on HLN, Jackson was
at home with his father this morning when he went into cardiac arrest. He was taken to UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, where he died.
Michael Jackson went into show business at the young age of five, as part of the Jackson Five with his older brothers. Jackson smoothly sang the ballads “Got to Be There” and “I’ll be There” as a young boy.
Jackson’s mega hit “Thriller” was one of the top selling albums of all time.
Jackson was a pop superstar whose later years were dogged by allegations of molestation and of drug abuse. He was planning a career comeback, with about 50 concerts in London. The concert tour would have netted about $50 million, according to HLN reports.
Jackson’s musical and performance genius brought joy to his many fans. He will be missed.
Michael Jackson is survived by his three children.
