ABC Desperate Housewives season 5 finale packed with stories

Desperate Housewives aired their season five finale on May 17, in an episode that tied up the Dave Williams storyline and introduced new storylines for season six. Wisteria Lane was packed fwith storylines, which included Dave planning to murder Susan’s son, Tom’s return to college, Lynette’s new pregnancy, a teenage tramp in Gaby’s household, Bree’s attempt to 
divorce Orson and Mike’s plan to marry Katherine.
Lynette and Tom Scavo
Tom Scavo (Doug Savant) decided to take to go back to college to take Chinese, because it will help him get a good job. He is almost ready to give up when he discovers that he passed an exam with flying colors. In the meantime, Lynette (Felicity Huffman) feared that her cancer had returned. She went to the doctor without telling Mike and learned that instead of cancer, she was pregnant with twins. Tom objected that they were old and Lynette said, “Not old enough.”
Gaby and Carlos Solis
Gaby (Eva Longoria Parker) had her hands full when Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) trampy niece, Anna, moved in. The young vixen told Gaby that her closet full of designer clothes, such as Vera Wang and Versace, were gifts from wealthy boyfriends. When Gaby tries to set her straight Anna cried to Carlos, who sides with his niece instead of his wife.
Bree and Orson Hodge
Bree (Marcia Cross) was trying to divorce Orson (Kyle MacLachlan), who she decided she detested, but Orson refused to go. Bree’s divorce attorney arranged an attack to scare Orson off, but when Bree told him she had nothing to do with it, he was even more determined to stay. Karl, Bree’s lawyer, admitted to Bree that he was responsible and then told her she was an exciting woman and swept her in his arms and kissed her.
Dave Williams
Dave Williams (Doug Savant), aka, Dave Dash hatched a diabolical plot to kill Susan and MJ on a camping trip. While Dave was plotting, he talked to hallucinations of people who had died, including wife Edie (Nicolette Sheridan), the doctor he had murdered in the bar fire and his wife and daughter.
Susan and Katherine and Mike
Dave left a tape with Mike Delfino, confessing that he killed Susan and MJ as revenge for the car accident that killed his wife and daughter. Dave gave the tape to Mike as he was leaving for a Las Vegas wedding with Katherine and told Mike not to play the tape until after his wedding. Mike was going to record over the tape, when her heard the confession and rushed away from the chapel, leaving Katherine shattered at the altar.
Mike called Susan on her cell phone and told her to get away from Dave as fast as she could. The police knew everything and called Dave on his cell phone. Dave nearly succeeded in his plot to kill MJ , but his mind played tricks on him and he saw his daughter instead and told MJ to get out of the car. Dave was last seen in a mental institution.
Mike arrived at the scene just after MJ escaped, swept Susan into his arms and kissed her.
The finale episode ends at a wedding ceremony. Mike was getting married to a bride dressed in white, with a veil that obscured her face. Whether the bride was Susan or Katherine will not be known until season six.
Desperate Housewives will return with new episodes this fall on ABC.
