And so here we are in early July, boxing fans, stuck without any big or truly exciting fights to watch. Our MMA counterparts get fed regular fights by UFC president Dana White, and similar prize fight businessmen like him, who operate smaller, less prominent organizations yes, but who nonetheless continue to pique the public's interest.
We get a guy who cancels a fight with a smaller man due to a supposed rib injury. So just like in 8th grade, "May I see the doctor's note?" None? Suspended!
They do have Bob Sapp "over there" in MMA. Heck, I'm even pulled more and more into MMA. Anakin Skywalker being seduced by "The Dark Side" of prize fighting . . .
They have that 7 foot tall South Korean, Hong Man Choi, a mixed martial artist who just stomped on former baseball star Jose Canseco.
I write. That's what I do. Settle for my bummer list!
Boxing's top 7 most demotivational thoughts!

Here's 2 pound for pound entertainers rolled into one.
# 6. No pain, no (financial) gain.
Paychecks from Golden Boy Promotions are not easily dispensed.

# 5. Promoters and HBO try to over-deliver for customers by matching the best fights possible . . .
. . . after building up a fighter's record with multiple boring mismatches. Sacrificial lamb anyone?

# 4. Rocky is the best boxing movie series ever . . .
. . . until you watch the "Brokeback Rocky" version. LOL

# 3. The secret to my boxing success lies in . . . successfully playing the "Blame Game."
