In a recent story posted by The Economist, Activision-Blizzard’s CEO Bobby Kotick says new installments in existing franchises can be just as innovative as completely new games.
“A small segment of very vocal gamers say everything has to be new and different every year,” he said in the interview. “Actually, people are happy with existing franchises, provided you innovate within them.”
That comment can most likely lead us to believe a seemingly endless stream of Guitar Hero and Call of Duty games are on the way in the future.
