"Brüno", comedian Sacha Baron Cohen's fake gay Austrian alter ego, appears buck naked on the cover of GQ, and offers up some helpful advice to readers.
Bruno tells one reader on unemployment that it's "still possible to look good on a clothing budget of $20,000 a veek."
When another reader asks about manscaping, Brüno says, " Be careful if you do it yourself—yesterday ich tried to self-wax mein arschenhaller und glued meinself to ze bed."
Asked if men should wear heels, Brüno responds, "Of course. Some guys look great in heels—ze singer Pink, for example." When asked who are the best-dressed world leaders of all time, he says, "JFK. Obama. Castro. Timberlake."
The movie has been in limited released in Europe and so far reviews have been very good.
The Sun called it "unmissable", and Jonathan Ross of the BBC called it "very funny. Not as funny as Borat, but funny." One reviewer said,
"Just like with Ali G and Borat, Sacha as Brüno tricks famous faces into doing ridiculous interviews. Brüno decides to become heterosexual — 'like Tom Cruise, John Travolta, and Kevin Spacey'. And an interview with a pastor who specializes in turning gay men straight is priceless."
"Brüno" opens in wide release (pun intended) on Jüly 10th.
