Meet providers of adaptive equipment and social services for children with physical disabilities at The Children's Institute's Parents Special Needs Expo April 22nd
This informational event is primarily targeted toward parents of children with physical disabilities, but it is also a great opportunity for occupational, speech and physical therapists to see available equipment and talk to representatives from service providers. All presenters are local to the Pittsburgh area.
The presenters include:
- Mobility Works and Keystone Coachworks for vehicle modifications
- Quickie, Pride, Invacare for wheelchairs
- Blackburns, Chesapeake, United Seating and Mobility for providing medical equipment
- Dynavox and Prentke Rohmich for communication devices
- ACC Inc. for assistive technology
- Union and Delatorre Orthotics and Prosthetics
- Make-a-Wish and Variety The Children's Charity
- Elks Nursing, Achieva, Verland, Allegheny County Office of Mental Retardation for social services and residential living
- United Cerebral Palsy and Three Rivers Center for Independent Living
- EI and Conductive Education
- Three Rivers Adaptive Sports and Ambucs
- University of Pittsburgh wheelchair transportation safety group
