EA has released a new update for BattleForge adding the new PvE map Empire along with other improvements, balance tweaks and bug fixes.

The patch also totes improved performance, specifically when playing on large maps with many units.

The download is available now via the in-game updater.

From the notes:

General

* New PvE Map: Empire
* Improved performance, especially on large maps with many units.
* Website store: Some purchases in some product/currency constellations led to the error message "The unit price is not valid for the given currency". This has been corrected and all products can now be purchased in all supported currencies again. The store now also supports the currencies PLN, CAD, CHF and NOK.

Cards

* Balancing change: Mine: reduced damage vs. structures 200 -> 50
* Balancing change: Shrine of the Martyrs: reduced production costs 300 -> 125, changed requirements 1 Frost 2 neutral -> 2 Frost 1 Neutral
* Balancing change: Shrine of War: reduced production costs 300 -> 150, increased refund 5% -> 15% (on upgrade level 2)
* Balancing change: Necrofury: Netherbomb - increased damage from 640/970 -> 666/999
* Bug fix Ensnaring Roots: XL units are now able to attack buildings if they are rooted and close enough to the target structure.
* Bug fix: Sandstorm Shadow Affinity: The corruption caused by this card makes new cards deal area damage when being played out. The maximum damage that may thus be caused is limited to 3000 which has so far not been mentioned in the card's description. The text has been updated accordingly. This only affects the description and has no impact on performance!
* Bug fix: Blaster Cannon: The card's description stated that the building could shoot every second while it actually releases its shot only every 3 seconds. The text has now been updated accordingly. This only affects the description and has no impact on performance!
* Bug fix Amok Fire Affinity: The card description stated that all units within the spell's radius would be confused while just up to 5 targets can actually be affected. The text has now been updated accordingly. This just affects the description and has no impact on performance!
* Bug fix: Flying units bound to the ground by any variant of Gravity Surge allowed cards to be played out next to them that actually required an own ground entity. This has now been changed: flyers bound to the ground no longer count as ground entities for card play out.
* Bug fix Stone Tempest: Both Affinities are able to knock back small and medium units which were missing in the cards' descriptions. The texts have now been updated accordingly. This only affects the description and has no impact on performance!
