Dishing out wedding planning advice is no biggie for the southern belle bombshell, DeAnna Pappas. Definitely not a television newbie and certainly no love rookie; DeAnna's new and exciting position of co-host for Get Married gives her an opportunity to talk and listen to brides while assisting with their big day.
The show, airing on Lifetime, provides suggestions on how to be a well prepared bride. A self- proclaimed true believer in love and family, Ms. Pappas has graciously taken the time to provide a few tips in hopes of enlightening her hometown bridesmaids.
When it comes to being a fabulous bridesmaid, DeAnna first places heavy emphasis on being a good friend. While the bride is being a "chicken with her head cut off", describes Pappas, the important thing is to really just "be there for her", DeAnna adds. Be entertaining at the least and assist her in whatever way you can. Something tells me that when it is your turn, you will be happy to have put in the good kharma.
Although DeAnna can't agree that most brides will let you wear whatever make-up you want, she realizes all skin types cannot successfully wear all colors and instead suggests you bring your own shades for back-up.
Be sure to keep your lipstick, gloss and pressed powder handy. Touch ups for pictures (or dancing with your plus one) keep your spring look fresher longer.
No one will fault you for having a few cosmos the night before the big day, but if you see any puffiness around your eyes the following morning, Pappas recommends applying a dab of hemroid cream to trouble spots. The solution isn't attractive, but neither are puffy eyes.
And in case you are in for a long pre- wedding night, DeAnna highly suggests washing your face before crashing.
Lastly, pass along the blogger bride link to the bride. It's a good way for her to update you during the countdown. (A better alternative than having to use your before 7pm minutes to answer the beef or chicken request.)
