If "religulouscyclosity" were a word, it would be an apt adjective for the "Tour de Revs."

Reverends Ron Schlak, Adam Link, and Dr. Fred A. Soltow Jr. passed through Staten Island this morning as part of their 13,000-mile pilgrimage on their 3-man bamboo tandem--or, more accurately, a "triplet."  The three Evangelical Lutheran Church of America pastors, who credit their stamina to their "committment to wellness," travel from West Virginia in order to encourage contributions to fight world hunger.

They stopped at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Stapleton before riding the ferry to Manhattan.

Their cross-country mission aims to stop at all 65 synods of the ELCA, including destinations in South Dakota, Colorado, California, Missouri, and Puerto Rico.  They hope to raise awareness of global poverty and $5 million for the church's world hunger program.

May Saint Madonna del Ghisallo protect them on their journey.
