Christmas Light Displays make Great Holiday Date Nights
If you are looking for a simple Holiday date with your spouse, spending a couple evenings driving around looking at Christmas lights could be the way to go. If your holiday season has turned into a jumbled mess of shopping, Parties, family celebrations, parties, yearly get togethers, parties, and traffic -- unplug from the craziness and go for a drive with your spouse!
Here is your recipe for (at least) 4 great date nights this winter.
Step 1: Grab your spouse and the keys. Leave the kids with neighbors, family, or a sitter.
Step 2: Find a favorite local radio station playing Christmas tuneage: WJXA - 92.9, WFFH - 94.1 or 93.7.
Step 3: Find a Starbucks, or other favorite "warm drink shop". Order something warm, Chocolate-y, or Peppermint-y
Step 4: Take your pick of one of these destinations for Christmas light displays:
- Gaylord Opryland
- Festival of Lights
- Lipton Lights
- Laser Holidays
- Or find your own at ChristmasLightFinder.com
Step 5: Enjoy the evening together, looking at lights, engaging in conversation and slowing down during the craziness that is the holiday season!
