Former Boston Police chief Bill Bratton is stepping down as Los Angeles police chief. With his final press day he makes some interesting statements to the local Fox affiliate.
On marijuana legalization, Bratton says, "It would be a disaster."
He also expresses being "disappointed" with the Governor for even bringing it up.
Next is the reefer madness, forget science folks.
"Marijuana is a gateway drug."
And finally "Let's not have a discussion."
Bratton then goes on to take credit for the reduction of crime, ignoring that during that same period of time many medical marijuana dispensaries have opened. Perhaps we should just credit that to medical marijuana? Who's done more to reduce the power of the drug gangs in California?
Bill Bratton or legal medical marijuana dispensaries?
How do we end up with Police Chiefs in major cities such as this?
Ignore science and rational debate, push propaganda.
