On Halloween, not everyone wants to go to a crazy party filled with witches brewing double trouble and vampires ready for a bite. Many people want to spend time with family or just hang out with a smaller group of friends handing out candy to the neighborhood kids.  Solution? A game night playing a spooky Halloween board game!

Here are ten board games that are perfect for a Halloween with earthly beings: No garlic necklaces required.

Ghost Chase - One player is the ghost who is chased through a haunted mansion by the other players as “ghost chasers”. Being Ghostly, the ghost can take a more direct route through the mansion, but the chasers must use doors and stairs. The chase becomes exciting as the chasers can gang up on the ghost, but only one person can win! All ages, 60 minutes of game play.

Boo-opoly – Earning 5 stars, this is a Halloween version of Monopoly, with teachable moments regarding the Halloween holiday. Ages 8 up, indefinite game play.

Halloween Tangled – More of a floor game, this Halloween version of the ages-old Twister game will be fun for kids and adults who can touch their toes.  All ages, indefinite game play.

Bump in the Night – This game involves monsters who terrorize the inhabitants of a home, the goal to either scare the daylights out of them or inspire them to flee entirely. Boo! Ages 12 up, 60 – 90 minutes of game play.

Zombies – Rated 4.5 stars by Amazon shoppers, this popular game turns the zombie movie action into an exciting board game. Players find themselves in a zombie infested town trying to survive and get the heck out.  One reviewer describes it as a survival horror video game in a board game format.  Ages 10 and up, 2 to 3 hours of game play.

Last Night on Earth – Another Zombie game that earns 5 stars from game reviewers. The gist of the game is that brain-eating zombies have crawled out of their holes to over-run the peaceful community of Woodinvale. Ages 12 up, 60-90 minute game play.

Fury of Dracula – Another 5-star rated game from Amazon game players.  In this game one player is Dracula who plays against the hunter players who try hunt him down by good sleuth work.  The game involves memory and reasoning and never plays the same. Ages 10 up, 2-3 hours game play.

The Werewolves of Millers Hollow – A social game of deception and trust where everyone has a “secret” role and must decide who is lying and who's telling the truth.  The game is intended for a large group of  8 - 18 people, ages 10 up, indefinite game play.

Clue – This time-tested whodunit brainteaser is probably tucked back in everyone’s game closet and perfect for a Halloween game night. Ages 8 up,  60 minutes game play.

Gloom - This 4.5 star rated game from the dark-side will have players hoping for the worst in the world of Gloom. That’s because their role in a family of misfits will only find relief for their unfortunate lives once they pass on to the afterlife. Play has a unique design and the player with the lowest family value wins! Ages 12 up, 60 to 90 minutes game play.

Each one of these games will be played by game enthusiasts somewhere this Halloween.  Join in!
