During the U.S president campaign of 2008, then Alaska Governor Sarah Palin disclosed that she had given birth to a child with Down syndrome.

Attention has recently focused on a new study that may provide hope for parents of Down Syndrome children. Down syndrome is the most common cause of mental retardation in children and leads to deficits in contextual learning and memory.
