January 2010 is homeschool month at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida!  Per their Disney Youth Program,  special workshops and programs will be held on January 24-26 at three of the four major Disney theme parks:  The Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Programs will be offered for homeschool student from first grade and up!  You can go to the Disney website for a complete listing of all of the programs being offered.  Per Disney:  "Are your homeschoolers ready to push their education to the next level, or simply needing a new out-of-the-box challenge? Disney Homeschool Days offers exciting programs that are sure to enhance and add a new level to your homeschool curriculum.  Learning has never been more fun. Disney Homeschool Days invites your students to explore scientific, cultural, creative and natural exhibits of the Walt Disney World® Resort Theme Parks for hands-on, eye-opening experiences."

There are different ticket levels available so that you can really customize your program to fit your budget and needs.  Florida residents get the best deals and discounts, but for those of us who are non-residents tickets to select programs that include theme park admission start at $116.38.  For that price you get admission to one park and one presentation.  The highest priced package includes a 5-day premium package and costs $189.68.  A full description of the packages and prices can be found here.  Hotel accomodations and food are not included in any of these packages but Disney always has specials going on and has rooms to fit every budget.  To request room rate quotes, you can simply click here

A regular family vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort is always fun and can be educational on it's own.  But a program that is specially designed by Disney for the sole purpose of educating your children is an opportunity not to be missed.  Spaces will fill up quickly so make your reservations today!
