Build a well from sugar cubes around a small container of water.

In ancient times, wells played a vital role in community life. Many a Bible story uses a well as the central point of interaction. These well crafts were meant to be used alongside the camel activity for Hayyei-Sarah, but they can also be used for countless other stories. Choose the activities that best fit your needs. • Build a well from butter mints using royal icing as mortar. For simpler but less sturdy edible glue, melt 1/4 stick of butter in a sauce pan and add 1/2 to one cup of sugar to the butter and heat. Another option is to beat 1 egg white until fluffy and add 1 teaspoon of cream of tartar to the mix. Keep beating the mixture and slowly mix in around 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar to make a thick, sturdy glue.
• Cut off a segment of a cardboard roll and draw bricks on the side. If desired, you can also put a small jar full of water inside of it.
• Make a well out of craft sticks.
• Build a well from sugar cubes around a small container of water.
• Build a well out of blocks and act out the story.
• Print a well coloring page to draw on or to use as a template for a felt or paper craft.
