Monarch Butterflies at the Desert Botanical Garden

You can walk through a space filled with fluttering bright orange Monarch butterflies at the Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden.

Now through November 15th, enjoy the Mariposa Monarca Monarch Butterfly Exhibit. Interpretive displays about the lifecycle, migration patterns, environmental threats, and conservation efforts of the monarch butterfly are inside the exhibit. But what is most fun is watching these beauties fly, land on the flowers, drink from the water feature and enjoy fluttering in the warm sun.Monarch Butterfly Exhibit Desert Botanical Garden

It's a great exhibit for photographers, butterfly enthusiasts and children.

The exhibit is open 9:30am - 5pm. But be sure and wait to enter when it warms up. The butterflies will be more active.

Tip:  Garden admission is free the second Tuesday of every month, from 1-8 p.m. Entry into the seasonal butterfly exhibit Mariposa Monarca is also free from 1 - 5 p.m. Parking is limited.

Ordinarily the butterfly exhibit is free for members and children under three and is $3 for General Public with paid Garden admission.
