Mariah Carey: dastardly diva or imperfect angel?

Mariah Carey on GMTV?

According to Stupid Celebrities.com Mariah has always been rumored to be a diva. Just this past week came reports that Carey insisted on being surrounded by 20 white kittens and 100 white doves for her appearance at a Christmas lighting ceremony in London. She also wanted to be showered in confetti shaped like butterflies after her performance.

Now let’s think about that for just a minute. Could it be she requested the birds and cats? That would look pretty cool wouldn’t it? The confetti would also be a nice touch. Just by using that one word in their story “insisted,“ Mariah looks like a diva rather than a creative artist trying to have the best exposure possible (don’t go there) and who can blame her for that?

Now Kate Garraway, the host of British TV’s Good Morning Television says the rumors of Mariah Carey being a diva is all true.

Garraway told Now! Magazine that Mariah made some crazy demands when she was recently in the UK to promote the new movie “Precious”.

Garraway said Mariah Carey arrived with a huge entourage so she would look perfect on air. Mariah reportedly even asked for two people to lower her onto the morning show program’s couch to keep from wrinkling her dress. Okay, that is a little diva-ish wouldn’t you say?

“I’ve heard a lot of rumors about her being a diva over the years and guess what? It turns out it’s all true!” she said. “While Mariah was very nice, the amount of people she had in her entourage was hilarious. They outnumbered the entire GMTV crew.”

Garraway also said Carey even “brought her own toilet paper as well. Have you ever heard anything like it?” That would be a resounding NO! That is not being a diva that is being paranoid.

But Mariah’s rep has shot down Garraway’s claims, calling them a “clear, gross exaggeration.”
