Turkey Hunting at Bucks and Spurs Ranch                                  photo C Huff

Bucks and Spurs is a Dude Ranch famous for horseback riding vacations. During hunting season, Cecil Huff serves as the fishing and hunting guide while his wife Sonny cooks whatever guests catch: bass or venison or turkey.

Bucks and Spurs owners C and Sonny Huff welcome hunters and leaf peepers alike during this most colorful season.

There is not a better place to schedule a turkey hunting trip with the guys. And the bonus is, “if you clean it, Sonny will cook it.” Not a bad offer from one of the Ozarks best country cooks. Bring your fishing gear to enjoy the two-mile private frontage on Big Beaver River.
Lodging is comfortable and homey. The cedar lodge with 3 full baths and private rooms. It includes laundry facilities, central heat and air conditioning.

The Oak and Walnut cabin features 6 inch by 6 inch oak logs sawn from the ranch with solid walnut beams and walnut paneling. This hideaway cabin has 2 private full baths and 2 private bedrooms.
Then, there is the all you can eat meals, trail ride breakfast, chuck wagon dinner, and steak nights ... Cowboy Style!

Cecil serves as the fishing and hunting guide while Sonny can cook whatever guests catch: bass or venison or turkey. When there are hungry hunters at the table waiting, Sonny doesn’t have time to soak the turkey. The men prefer the turkey breast fried.

Make hunting trip reservations soon at  Bucks and Spurs Guest Ranch. Hunters always find an abundant population of white tailed deer and wild turkey on the ranch.
Take advantage of the Fall 2009 Special Vacation rates. Prices include all meals, lodging, all horseback riding, fishing, canoe trips on the ranch and special events.
The Missouri Department of Conservation has information about turkey, deer and waterfowl hunting.

Fall in the Ozark Mountains
Known for their natural horsemanship, cattle herding, two miles of private frontage on Big Beaver River this is a real, rough-around-the-edges ranch, not a fancy resort. As Cecil says “ We have just enough comforts to let you enjoy roughing it!”
