Enjoy an autumn evening at this fun-filled family event October 24, 2009, at 5:00 p.m. Take lamp-lit tours of local historic buildings where first-person interpreters will be conducting historic dramatizations. Kids activities include pumpkin painting, a maze adventure and a small bag of candy. Each family can get a keepsake autumn photo to take home.

The Battle of Athens State Historic Site shelter house, decked out in fall splendor, will offer hot dogs, s’mores, cookies, caramel apples, hot chocolate and cider.

This event is sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and the Friends of Athens and is free.
