What is it that we all want, we tend to get upset with anyone who does not think like we do, believe what we believe, and follow the same people we do. Yet, most of us detest anyone wanting to get “involved” in our lives, we detest the thought of losing our own freedom to choose and live our lives the way we want.

Epiphany: Something I had last night while reading comments, I realized that it is only a matter of time before someone somewhere decides to use their power to keep those of us who write things like this from doing so. After all many of us humans are quite unable to take criticism and the internet has become a veritable cesspool of criticism.

What are facts, and what is fiction. Fact is defined as the quality of being actual. Fiction is defined as the act of inventing with imagination. Here is the thing in today’s age of mass information without true verification being made available how does one learn to delineate between the two? It is my habit to attempt to go to the source when researching, however, with many things the source can be flawed as well. With that knowledge, it is than becomes necessary to take as much information as possible and find the common thread running down the middle of the various viewpoints. As a columnist, I tend to place my own views in the material, after all a pure statistical report is quite boring to read.

Therefore, when someone wants to “call you on the carpet”for what you write remember, if you are at least basing a significant amount of it on verifiable information there is no need for “fear.” I tend to enjoy seeing comments that say things like, “read the facts better yourself.” I also like to remind people that they also have the right to their opinions, just do not expect me to take everything said as gospel until I have had the chance to verify it myself.

Freedom, remember we all desire it however, some of us just see it differently!
