                    V Commentary on ABC.com

ABC is adding a social side to the ABC.com Full Episode Player. This new addition is beginning with the new series 'V' on Saturday, November 7, 2009. The premiere episode of 'V' will be available on ABC.com and both show experts and fans can add commentary.

ABC.com already offers all previously aired episodes from the current season of its shows on its Full Episode Player. Now the experience will be more social.  Expert commentary will be available at the same time the episode is added. Experts can be writers, directors, costume designers, and others. It is possible that cast, network executives and journalists might be added.

Fans can then log in through Facebook Connect and add their own comments. Although there are already many fan message boards for most television series, this is the first one in which fans will be interacting with people that are part of the show.

Beginning with 'V' makes sense since serialized science fiction shows usually generate the most online fan interest. The executive producers of 'V' will be giving their commentary for this first episode. When the final season of Lost premieres on ABC in early 2010, fan commenting on this new ABC social feature should go through the roof.
