Tonight TNA Wrestling presented their seventh anniversary pay per view Slammiversary live from the Palace of Auburn Hills in suburban Detroit.
In the pre-show match live before the pay per view went on the air, The British Invasion (Doug Williams & Brutus Magnus) beat Rhino & Jesse Neal. Rhino's original partner Eric Young walked out on him early in the match and Neal was allowed to replace him.
In the opening match Suicide retained his X-Division Championship against Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed in a King of the Mountain match.
Daniels beat “The Franchise” Shane Douglas.
Angelina Love retained the TNA Women’s Championship against Tara.
Taylor Wilde & Abyss beat Raven & Daffney in a Monster’s Ball match when Abyss pinned Raven after a Black Hole Slam onto thumbtacks.
Sting pinned Matt Morgan.
Beer Money (James Storm & Robert Roode) beat Team 3-D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon) to win the TNA World Tag Team Championships thanks to interference and distraction from The British Invasion.
In the main event, Kurt Angle won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship in a King of the Mountain match when Samoa Joe climbed up the ladder and instead of retrieving the belt for himself he handed it over to Angle in a major swerve. Also in the match were then-champion Mick Foley, Jeff Jarrett and AJ Styles.
