The extreme cold the is gripping the nation has made its way to Denver, Colorado. A cold front blew through Wednesday morning dropping temperatures from the mid 40s Wednesday morning to a low of -16 overnight (nearly 60 degrees in less than 24 hours). Highs on Thursday will be lucky to get above 10 degrees with overnight lows again plummeting well below zero.

Snow also fell, dropping several inches during the day on Wednesday across most of Denver.
Wind chill advisories are in effect east of Denver where wind chill readings dropped to between -30 and -40 degrees.
