Periodically, the Madison Public Library hosts public discussions of contemporary fiction and nonfiction. While the discussion is definitely out of the way for Milwaukee residents, today’s topic is well worth the drive.
At the library’s Alicia Ashman Branch, the free book group welcomes topical discussion of journalist Fareed Zakaria’s best-selling 2008 book The Post American World. Join other politically charged Wisconsinites as they discuss Zakaria’s book, a renowned work of nonfiction examining the economic, industrial, and cultural effects of United States foreign policy and recent efforts to spread democracy globally.
The discussion begins at 3:00PM and goes until 4:30PM at 733 N. High Point Road in Madison, Wisconsin.
Details concerning future book discussions and other notable events can be found on the Madison Public Library’s online calendar.
