Saved by the Bell on PeopleSorry Jimmy but it looks as if People Magazine beat you to it. On the cover of the current, trendy magazine you can find the cast of the popular teen show Saved by the Bell, minus cast members Screech (Dustin Diamond) and Mr. Belding (Dennis Haskins), celebrating their 20 year anniversary.

Reuniting to discuss their favorite memories, confrontations and romances the People article does mention Jimmy Fallon's effort to reunite the cast for Late Night. Word on the street is People Magazine offered a little more money for that reunion.

For those of you who don't remember, the comedy starred Mark Paul Gosselaar, Mario Lopez, Tiffani Thiessen, Lark Voorhies, Elizabeth Berkley and Dustin Diamond as teens at the fictional Bayside High School, where they dealt with real life issues such as drinking and drugs but also a lighter side of things with jokes/high jinks. The original ran five seasons.

The show received two spin-offs, Saved by the Bell: The College Years ran for one season with Gosselaar, Lopez, Diamond and Thiessen continuing to play their characters. Followed by Saved by the Bell: The New Class (a whole new cast plus Dustin Diamond and Dennis Haskins), which ran seven seasons.

Speaking of Dustin Diamond he is currently shopping a tell all book on the cast which could be the reason behind him not making the photo shoot/sit down interview. The book titled, "Behind the Bell," was recently dropped by Gotham Books was due to shed light on "sexual escapades among cast members, drug use and hardcore partying." The book has been picked up by Transit Publishing and expect it to hit stores September 29th.

The book doesn't seem to both Gosselaar all that much, he said, "We were innocent, naive kids. We were not jaded. So him writing a book, I'm not really afraid of what he has to say. There are not too many skeletons in my closet." We'll see what kind of dirt Diamond has dug up in a few months!

Viewers can still catch up with the "Bayside" gang every day on TBS or by picking up the DVD's of the program.

Here is a link to a video of Tiffany Thiessen explaining to Jimmy Fallon she's to busy to reunite with the Saved By The Bell cast for his show...quite the comedian!
