While fans will be remembering Michael Jackson’s life and undeniable musical influence, one “group,” Westboro Baptist Church, plans on protesting it. Why? According to their website: “Since 1955, Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) has taken forth the precious from the vile, and is therefore as the mouth of God (Jer. 15:19). In 1991, WBC took her ministry to the streets, conducting 40,915 peaceful demonstrations (to date) opposing the f*g lifestyle of soul-damning, nation-destroying filth.”
The controversial group started picketing funerals of those who have died of HIV and quickly moved on to services for public figures and military personnel, churches, synagogues, political and military events.
They do an excellent job of showing just how ugly intolerance and hate can be. All the while using religion to justify their behavior! Below is a sampling of what their website has put up regarding their protest of the Michael Jackson memorial followed up by another one in Gary, Indiana. Keep in mind, this “church” consists of less than 100 people with 80% being family!

“Staples Center - Michael Wacko Jacko Jackson is in hell! 1111 S. Figueroa St WBC will be there to remind you to stop worshiping the dead. We will be there to tell you to Thank God for the death of this filthy, adulterous, idolatrous, gender-confused, nationality-confused, unthankful brute beast. We will be there to remind you that God Killed Wacko Jacko. There is a God, and a Day of Judgment. For you to wallow and murmur against God for his righteous Judgments is sin and will cause YOU to join Michael in hell. Stop that! Be thankful that God has not already killed you because like that Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar realized after 7 years of being cursed as a crazy wild man because he did not give God the glory warns - God will deal with you WHERE YOU LIVE if you do not put away your sins”.
