The marketing machine at Activision just unveiled the first 24 confirmed tracks for the upcoming Guitar Hero 5, which releases in September. The game will feature a total of 85 master tracks, and these initial tracks look to have enough diversity to please all manner of music enthusiasts.

Of interest are the three live tracks from Iggy Pop, Jeff Beck, and Santana. It's refreshing to see Guitar Hero leaning towards more live tracks as they really do more accurately capture the atmosphere Guitar Hero has been aiming for since the series' inception.
