The Village of Lake Villa Celebration of Summer will be held at Lehman Park in Lake Villa from Thursday through Sunday, June 11 – 14. Summertime activities include a play, teen night, rock music, classic cars, carnival rides, and public safety fair and cardboard boat races. The celebration is a family friendly event that is fun for kids and adults
Schedule of Highlights
Thursday, June 11 at 6:00 pm “A Play in the Park” - “Not Just Another Middle School Play” by Brian Starchman.Friday, June 12 from 6 – 9 pm is Teen Night, sponsored by the Lindenhurst – Lake Villa Chamber of Commerce.
Saturday, June 13 will be a big day at the celebration. There will be carnival games and rides beginning at 5:00 pm. Liberty’s Teeth will perform live music from 6 - 9 pm. Liberty’s Teeth is a rock and roll band that plays six decodes of music, from the 1950’s through today’s hits. Double Take, the winner of the Lakes High School Battle of the Bands will open for Liberty’s Teeth. At 9 pm there will be a raffle, with prizes including a Polaris ATV and a Flat Screen TV. Fireworks will be held at dusk.
On Sunday, June 14, Kroozers Fun Run Car Show will be featured from 8 am to 4 pm. There will be carnival games and rides from 10 am to 4 pm. A public safety fair will be held from 11 am to 4 pm. Cardboard Boat Races will be held at 1 pm (boat construction begins at 11 am).Dog n Suds classic cars on Saturday night in Fox Lake
